The members of the Stay Classy Crew would like to make two critical announcements regarding TNB’s Literary Experience in San Diego on August 25, 2011:
The first is that beloved founder and dad-figure, Brad Listi, is stepping down from his slot reading at the event. In his stead, we are pleased to announce that one of TNB’s most popular (and often polarizing) authors will be taking his place.
Yes, we are pleased (and a teensy bit nervous) to announce that J. Angelus Dust will be Listi’s replacement for the event.
No further information is available at this time, but suffice to say, this is going to be one for the ages….
The second big announcement: there will be a venue change. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the location of the event will now be at The Sunset Temple.
What could have been disastrous has instead become a stroke of great fortune, as the new location is more parking-friendly, reading-friendly, and close to plenty of restaurants, cafes and clubs for anyone looking to get down before or after the event.
Please update your planners to reflect the new address of the event:
3911 Kansas Street
San Diego, CA 92104
Neighborhood: North Park
All other information- date, start time, etc., is the same.

any chance you could stream this live on the web?
I think there are some pretty strict nudity laws, otherwise we definitely would.
You shameless tempter. But no dice. I can’t afford the time off work.
Ditto what Gloria said.
(When I wrote “Ditto” I mean the part about streaming it live. But now that I read the rest of it the vague promise of nudity is something to ditto also.)
if you could possibly get more distant from NH, as the crow flies and still be in the USA, I would like to know where that is.
damn.
You win, Dwoz.
I thought I was far away, but you take the cake.
Sad, that they didn’t keep working on the beaming technique, right?
Dust is going to read! Goddamn you, geographical distance. Goddamn you straight to hell.
Okay, here’s the deal: You come down to Portland after work on Wednesday, August 24. On Thursday, August 25 we’ll both contract a mysterious virus – maybe it’ll be food poisoning – and we’ll both call into work. We can head out (in your car, because mine wouldn’t make it Ashland) by 6:00 AM the day of the event. We’ll split gas. Google Maps says it takes 15 1/2 hours to drive to L.A., but I’ll bet if we don’t stop to pee we could do it in 12. We go to the event and then we head back out at midnight so that we can get to work after lunch on Friday, August 26, when our viruses/food poisoning will have mysteriously disappeared. We’ll look like hell because of all the traveling, so our stories will totally be vetted.
I’ll put together some music and munchies.
We can do this, Lista!
Hmmm. Seems like I might have to be there for this, since it’s so close and all.
Killing me. Killing us all.
Well! Now I’m not coming for sure.
good luck. believe it or not sending my well wishes your way. That may piss you off, but so be it.

That’s a pretty foofoo looking establishment for TNB. Are you sure this is a TNB event? I read on the bar at the last one.
I feel like I’ll be missing the party of the decade. Am so bummed that I can’t make this.
Someone PLEASE get video.
