David Lynch Releases Crazy Clown Time VideoBy Cynthia Hawkins
April 02, 2012
David Lynch’s video for the title track from Crazy Clown Time (2011) is here at long last, and in it Lynch demonstrates his special gift for approximating what goes on in the mind of a patient in a vicodin funk after wisdom-teeth extraction, complete with the tiny, twisted kid-voice of your nightmares explaining precisely what you’re seeing, mohawks aflame and all. Warning: NSFW … and possibly NSF anyone with eyes and ears.
i feel like people who complain about their lives constantly should be made to take a vacation in this man’s head.
After these seven minutes alone, I have PTSD.
at least i’m not alone.
I. Hate. Lynch.
I will not be watching this.
I can feel exactly what I predict this or any other Lynch vehicle would make me feel simply by… Damn. I don’t even have a way to finish that analogy. Nothing anywhere makes me feel the level of existential distress as a Lynch movie.
Okay – maybe Aaronofsky can.
Could you imagine what they could collectively create if they teamed up?
I knew you hated Lynch! When I posted this, I remembered you saying something like, “I feel like I should scrub my brain after I watch his work.” So, for appeasement, there’s a Russell Brand tweet in that Top Ten Entertainment Tweets post — just for you 😉
